District information

Welcome to the website District 1180 that covers the whole of North Wales & Mid wales, Merseyside, The Wirral and parts of Cheshire, Shropshire and Lancashire and embraces a variety of communities ranging from the pastoral peacefulness and tranquility of rural areas to the hustle and bustle and vibrancy of the City of Liverpool. Indeed there are a total of six cities within the District, the others being Chester, Bangor, Wrexham, St Asaph and The Royal Town of Caernarfon.
 

Liverpool was one of the first clubs outside USA to be chartered, on 1st August 1913. From there Rotary clubs spread throughout the UK and Ireland to where we are now. Rotary International welcomes as members of its various clubs any person of good standing regardless of gender, ethnicity, beliefs or politics.
