Make A Difference

Rotary members actively embrace and exemplify the themes of Rotary International, namely “Service above Self” and are active in their local communities, in overseas projects, providing support, assistance, advice and guidance to the clubs and communities in active practical and financial terms.

Rotary International welcomes any person of good standing, regardless of colour, gender, religion, ethnicity, beliefs or politics as members of its various clubs.

With its range of cultures and environments there is a choice of clubs within your area to suit most people within easy travelling distance of where they live.

Accessing the various club websites will give you a flavour of what there is on offer and contact with the individual clubs is easy and without any obligation to commit at this stage. Should you need help in finding a suitable club then use the Club Finder here or use the contact form here.

Latest news and features in Rotary Great Britain and Ireland

If you think a Rotary club is for men only,  charity bucket shacking and serves as a pit-stop after retirement, you've pretty much missed the mark.

And you've missed the mark big time!

To begin with, it's one of the world’s most prestigious service organisations. Made up of committed individuals who volunteer and work together to help their local communities and those in need, worldwide.

1.4 million strong. 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries. And at the forefront of globally eradicating Polio - one of the most disabling and life-threatening disease caused by the poliovirus.

A diverse and multicultural family of friends across the world who discuss their community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them. Their oath? Service above self.
